Levitra is monohydrochloride salt of vardenafil which serves as selective inhibitor of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP)-specific phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) Vardenafil is chemicslly indicated as piperazine 1-3-(1, 4-dhydro-5-methyl-4-oxo-7-propylimidazol 5, 1-f] tryazin-2-yl)-4-ethoxyphenil1, 2, 4] tryazin-2-yl)-4-ethoxyphenil] sulfonyl]-4-ethyl-, monohydrpchloride. Except vardenafil HCL, every tablet also consisis the following active ingridients: microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal silicone dioxide, crospovidone, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, titanium dioxide, yellow ferric oxide, red ferric oxide and polyethylene glycol. As a main chemical component vardenafil is almost coulourless, its molecular weight is 579,1 g/mol and its water solubility is equal to 0,11 mg/mL. Levitra (brand name) is film-coated, orange and round tablets with “2, 5”, “5”, “10”, “20” prints, which correspond to 2,5mg, 5 mg, 10 mg and 20 mg of vardenafil relatively.
